Nothing felt better than finally getting on a plane after being cooped up all quarantine. Having the amazing opportunity through our partners at Journese and Pleasant Holidays I was able to spend the week in Cabos San Lucas touring properties, and spending my days in the lush Mexican sunshine. It was exactly what the doctor ordered.
Of course getting on my first international flight since the start of the pandemic, I was a bit nervous but I can honestly say that from start to finish my entire flight experience felt nothing but safe, socially distanced, and sanitized.
Once I arrived in Cabo the customs process could not have been easier. Once you deplane you are given a health survey and a Mexican travel authorization form. Both of these forms can be printed and filled out prior to your landing in Mexico, however, I noticed that the passengers that did have these forms prepared were asked to fill out a second. So, whether you fill these forms before you get to Mexico or after, neither will tremendously affect the timespan of the entry process. From the time I stepped through security in Hartsfield Jackson to the minute I collected my luggage in Cabo San Lucas the flight process was seamless and exciting.
Le Blanc Spa & Resort
Upon arriving at my accommodations for the week, Le Blanc Spa & Resort Los Cabos, I was so impressed by the staff’s arrival protocols. My temperature was immediately taken before I entered the property, along with being presented with hand sanitizer and a shoe disinfectant. I watched as the bellmen disinfected all of the luggage from our transfer before taking them inside the resort lobby, another protocol that I was really impressed with.
The safety and cleanliness procedures were not the only thing I was raving about during my stay at Le Blanc Resort & Spa. This all-inclusive adults only resort really outdid itself. Each floor of rooms has its own personal butler who is on call 24/7 to help guests with any type of butler service they may need. With 9 dining options on properties and three different bar areas, it was hard to imagine guests ever having a need to leave the property. The spa was perfectly divided to make guests feel socially distanced during each step of their treatment with staff continuously sanitizing every corner. From the accommodating service check-in to check out, to the pool side bar service, this resort is perfect for couples looking for an intimate relaxing all-inclusive getaway.

The safety protocols in place at each resort I toured were the same across the board. Upon arrival at each property our temperatures were checked, hand sanitizer was dispensed, and we were guided to walk through a shoe disinfectant. I was happy to see a lot of social distancing markers throughout resorts in areas with the possibility of queues.
Most importantly, at each resort masks were encouraged to be worn by guests in all public areas. Did that mean I saw masks being worn by every single guest? No. But I was happy to see all staff not only wearing masks but encouraging all guests to keep their masks on, especially in the most public areas.
Other protocols such as plexiglass dividers, extra hand sanitizing stations, and QR codes for menus at restaurants were common protocols put into place across the board for these properties in Cabo.
Flora Farms
During my stay I was able to check out Flora Farms. Flora Farms is a 25 acre organic working farm in Cabo that offers an amazing farm to table dining experience, cooking classes, and farm tours. As a group we toured the farm, sipped on their house “Farm”aritas (which I’m still dreaming about), and took a full cooking class making three different types of guacamole, pico de gallo, and of course getting to try our hands at making our own corn tortillas. A trip to Flora Farms is the perfect day excursion for truly anyone, large multi-generational families, ladies groups, or just for couples. Being able to tour the ins and outs of this beautiful farm that sits on top of a beautiful stone mountain, truly was an experience of a lifetime and would recommend a visit to Flora Farms to anyone traveling to Cabo.

After touring several properties, two of the resorts left me so incredibly excited to present not only to our team at Epperly, but our clients. Both Montage Los Cabos and Zadun, A Ritz Carlton Reserve were absolutely stunning and perfect for all types of travelers.
Montage Los Cabos
Montage Los Cabos I found to be my favorite of all the site-tours. The architecture of this property that sits on 39 acres was modern without taking away that authentic Mexican desert aesthetic that you expect upon vacationing in Cabo San Lucas. Montage Los Cabo also sits on a bay, making it one of the biggest, swimmable beaches in the area. It also makes for the perfect spot to whale watch during whale season that begins mid/late November and ends in April.
The suites at Montage were extremely spacious and playful–making this resort perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway, or for families with kids of all ages needing space for everyone. The resort is beautifully incorporated into the desert topography that is so special to Cabo I couldn’t stop snapping pictures throughout each stop on the tour.

Zandun, A Ritz Carlton Reserve
The Zadun, A Ritz Carlton Reserve was another top contender during my tour. This is one of the newest Ritz Carlton Reserve properties built in 2018. This resort is perfect for couples, families with older children, and golf enthusiasts. But most importantly, Zadun is a spa-lovers paradise. The Zadun Spa not only has its own very large jetted and heated pool, but they have a special meditation sound room. Complimentary with any spa treatment, this sound room lets guests meditate through the sound vibrations on the floor. This spa is truly a wellness paradies.
Unlike Montage Los Cabos, this resort does not have a swimmable beach, but with the two beachfront infinity pools, there are no complaints here. Every suite in the resort comes with its own plunge pool also, so if you’re looking to spend the majority of your time in Cabo lounging by the pool, Zadun is for you. Zadun’s three Jack Nickalson golf courses have breathtaking views of the ocean, and offer a full service bar/snack station at every hole. Great for really any type of traveler, Zadun’s unique architecture and stellar ocean views make it a must-see property in Cabo.

Overall Cabo San Lucas should be at the top of everyone’s radar when looking for a scenic, and seamless Mexican getaway. With no PCR test required for entry, and their heightened protocols I cannot stress enough of how perfect this destination is for those looking to finally get out of quarantine. From the enhanced cleaning protocols, to the impeccable lovely service, I am looking to book my next getaway to Cabo as soon as possible!
