Hello, Hawaii: The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai
Often referred to as the Big Island, the Four Seasons resort here reflects the idea of “bigger is better.”
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai at Historic Ka’upulehu
The Four Seasons Resort Hualalai is the largest of all the Four Seasons properties in the Hawaiian Islands, making it ideal for a number of travelers, from honeymooners who need a little more activity to families and large groups. I can see a fabulous destination wedding here with tons of activities for all guests!
In order to reflect a traditional and authentic Polynesian feel (Maui is a more modern resort whereas those on Lanai are more laid back and natural), there are no high rises at this property: the accommodations are all nestled in 2-story bungalows.
The number of pools alone is an accurate reflection of the property’s size. The Palm Grove pool is adults only, the Beach Tree pool provides a heated option, Sea Shell pool is perfect for families, an olympic-style Lap Pool is ideal for fitness buffs, King’s Pond is a man-made aquarium/snorkeling pond carved from lava rock, and the Ocean Pool is really the ocean made into a “pool.” With so many swimming options, guests might not even be able to try them all (more reason to come back, right?). Obviously, pools aren’t the only activity available here, I just point those out to show how the Four Seasons Hualali has something for everyone!
The property offers so much to do on-site that you might not even want to leave the resort! However, if you do, you’ll find plenty of activities to participate in, like the Big Island Zipline and Volcano National Park.
