Karen recently returned from Jamaica where she had the most wonderful time at two of our favorite Jamaica Resorts! We wanted to share how special her trip was and thank our partners at the Jamaica Inn and Half Moon for making her feel so welcomed!
I had a wonderful time!!! The Jamaica Inn is a very special place!!! It has a 1950’s classic feel and is really beautiful!! Everyone there is so nice!!! A lot of the employees have been there a long time—and many of the guests had been there multiple times before. I met one of the owners too, Peter. He was very nice. The owners seem to take care of both their guests and their employees!!! So nice to find a place like that!!!
Properties like the Jamaica Inn where they take such wonderful care of not only their guests, but their staff too is something we strive to find in every property that we work with! We love hearing how involved the staff was in Karen’s trip and how they made her feel so special throughout her stay.
Marie was great and very helpful! She and Nordia told me that you hadn’t seen the picture of the card they left me. So I’ve attached a pic of it. Also pics of the view from my room and the gift Kyle (the manager) gave me from the Inn when I left!
It’s funny, I met Kyle’s girlfriend on the plane there—she was sitting next to me! I told her I was going to Ocho Rios and she asked where I was staying. Then she said her boyfriend was the manager—Small world!!! We gabbed all the way there!
Your vacation is not only a special time for you to getaway, but a time that we get to help bring those special moments to life! Karen is an avid equestrian and spends a lot of time with her horse, Val. When we heard about this we knew that someway, somehow, we needed to send him on the trip too!
The card with Val on it was so sweet! I kept it on the mirror so I could see him everyday.
Karen was able to enjoy so many fun excursions and as you can see had an absolute blast on every single one!
And THANK YOU for the Dunn’s River Falls pass and boat ride!!! I had a really great time!!! I was a little nervous, but Tony, the boat man, took care of me and got me a guide. A boat had come in so I had to go with a group of people, but Tony gave me to Wally and he put me at the front of the line and basically held my hand the whole way! I was worried about slipping but I put my feet where he put his so I had no problems. And the boat ride back with Tony was so fun!!! I don’t know which was better—the Fall’s or the boat ride, LOL!!! It was a blast!!!
The Hampden Rum Distillery tour was great too!! Although once we got off the main road, the road was terrible!!! LOTS of pot holes and had to go very slow. It ended up being a very long day. But that was the one day that it rained all day! So it was great timing!! We took a different way back that wasn’t as bad. It was great—I got to see a lot of the countryside!! It was a cool tour too! And their rum is great.
The beach wasn’t right for wave playing, so I swam instead! I swam from one end of the roped off area to the other every day! Improved my freestyle form and saw lots of fish! And didn’t get bit or stung by any sea creatures!!!
I did the shop and cook with chef Maurice and that was really fun too!!! The food there was excellent!
The Jamaica Inn is a beautiful resort that captures the authentic feel of Jamaica. With so many travelers looking for a sense of place when they travel, this is a perfect resort to visit in order to absorb the Jamaican lifestyle!
I loved my room!!! It was so nice to be on the water and it was very private! I had a blast feeding the fish from the veranda! They would all race to the bread and pile on and fight over it! They were so athletic! It was so fun to watch them!! I got toast at breakfast just so I could take it back and feed them, LOL!
It was a really cool place and I’m glad I stayed there! I never would have found that on my own! Thank you so much!!!
At the beginning of her stay, Karen spent an evening at Half Moon, one of our other favorites in Jamaica. This is a great resort to spend all of your time at, or do a quick stay before traveling to Ocho Rios for the remainder of your trip!
Half Moon Resort was really awesome too!! They upgraded my room so I had a terrace right by the beach. I wasn’t there long. I got in so late that all I did was sit in the Jacuzzi after I got there and then had breakfast the next day. The breakfast buffet was included and it was a great buffet!! So I wasn’t there long—I saw they had an equestrian center on my way out! That place was cool! I’m glad it worked out that I stayed there too! I think I’d do it that same way again—start off in Montego Bay at Half Moon and then go to Jamaica Inn.
We are beyond excited that Karen had such a wonderful time and grateful that we were able to be a part of her experience!
