It’s no secret that I’m a huge fan of the Four Seasons Brand, which makes it especially upsetting that I missed the early ferry from St. Kitt’s to Nevis on my Southern Caribbean cruise a couple of weeks ago. How crazy of me not to check out the only Four Seasons property in all of the Caribbean?! Since I didn’t get a chance to take the quick ferry ride over to the jaw-dropping island of Nevis, I still wanted to give you all a chance to imagine yourself at this beautiful property (if you book your Four Seasons Nevis trip through me, I’ll even let you write a guest blog post on how fabulous it was – blogging for the Vacations by Lindsey’s travel blog?! Imagine what kind of fame that will bring you!!).
Since we’re imagining great things, I want you to take a minute to think about the following scene: a perfect, tropical island where the buildings are capped at two stories, so the tallest structures are the coconut trees. Think of a little slice of paradise where the nightly entertainment revolves around watching the famous Nevisan sunset paint the sky a bright red and gold. What if you could walk into a local restaurant and be greeted by the genuine hospitality of a people so friendly, you might just want to pack up and call this perfect little island home?
That’s exactly how you’ll feel when staying at the Four Seasons Nevis and that genuine hospitality is what the property’s incredible marketing coordinator, Nicholas, says will remain with you long after you’ve traveled to the resort. When I asked him what, in his mind, made the location of the Four Seasons Nevis stand out, his answer was simple: the Nevisians. “There is something that is so honest, gentle, and warm about the Nevisian style of hospitality,” he told me, “you quickly feel like you are in the company of a very old friend that always steers you in the right direction.”
What an inviting statement to summarize this beautiful island! While the hospitality is a key factor, don’t forget the elements of the property that embody the timeless luxury of the Four Seasons brand. One of my favorite things about a property is when it can keep the high standards of its overall brand, yet maintain a sense of place. With its plantation style cottages and and lush foliage, the Four Seasons Nevis manages to do just that – highlight the surrounding area and provide guests with the best luxury experience possible.
If the accommodations and hospitality aren’t enough to draw you to Nevis, they Nevisians have something else up their sleeve: right next door to the Four Seasons is Sunshine’s, a bar that is world renowned for its infamous Killer Bee, the island’s signature drink that knocks a punch so strong, it’ll have you forgetting all of your worries (and maybe everything else) after you’ve finished one or two. Beyond the drinking, the dining on Nevis is out of this world: you have to try Montpelier Plantation, Coconut Grove, Bananas, and Indian Summer, to name a few.
If you need an activity that will soothe your soul after a night of Killer Bee’s, be sure to check out the Four Season’s new Sea Turtle Program, where their tagged turtle mascots, Pinney and Neve, is currently participating in the “Tour de Turtles” race to raise awareness of sea turtle survival. Thanks to this recent partnership with the Nevis Turtle Group & Sea Turtle Conservancy, guests of the Four Seasons can now enjoy Nighttime Turtle Watches during nesting season and children can participate in the Kids for All Seasons’ Sea Turtle Discover Camp. Not only that, guests have the chance to adopt a turtle in Nevis and proceeds go toward the campaign.
