The Honeymoon Look Book: Luxury Honeymoon Ideas

Bridal season is among us!

I’m so fortunate to have visited some amazing luxury honeymoon destinations and I’ve recently compiled a look book to use as an example at the bridal shows. Since you lovely readers can’t see the real flipbook, below are the pages and categories. Can you tell I used to be a big nerd and really into scrapbooking? Thankfully Snapfish has turned this scrappy love into an electronic art form, so no more glitter glue or pinking sheers lying around my house.

All but one of the featured photos are my own. Hopefully these will inspire your next romantic getaway or upcoming honeymoon! Be sure to like my Facebook page, Vacations and Honeymoons By Lindsey, to stay in the loop on travel specials, destination highlights, and new blog posts and follow me on Twitter (@lindsey_epperly) to hear my travel-related ramblings in 140 characters or less (it’s never less).

French Polynesia feels like stepping into a postcard. You can open up your coffee table and feed the fish swimming below! Fantastic for honeymoons and romantic getaways.

One of my all time favorite destinations: South Africa. It’s amazing for adventure travelers, exotic honeymoons, families with teens or older. It’s so complex that you could go back a million times and have a unique getaway each and every trip.

Easily one of my favorite Caribbean Islands and hands-down one of the best beaches I’ve ever seen, Turks and Caicos is awesome for a romantic getaway or family vacation.

With its rolling green mountains and lush foliage, St. Lucia is known as the Hawaii of the Caribbean and is a great destination for those who want exotic, but not too far from home.

For the best bang for your buck, Jamaica offers some fantastic options. Since the flight prices are so low, you save a good bit of money to put toward a great resort and, trust me, there are PLENTY of excellent resorts here. If you aren’t a fan of Jamaica because you’ve been here on a cruise, the resort side of the island is totally different. I definitely recommend it to honeymooners, family getaways, and everyone in between!

There’s truly only one contendor for the best resort in Anguilla: the Viceroy Anguilla. I loved everything about this property – from the modern decor to the trendy atmosphere and beautiful beaches. It’s awesome for romantic getaways and really great for group and large family travel thanks to their on-property villas!

For those who want a lot of culture without traveling too far, St. Barth’s is a fantastic option. The entire Caribbean island is French and English speaking, they use the Euro, and you feel like a celebrity. It’s like escaping to the French Riviera, but without crossing the Atlantic.

Paris is known as the city of lights, which makes for an amazingly romantic setting on your honeymoon. The city offers so much in terms of history, culture, and food that it’s a place every traveler should visit!

There’s a special place in my heart for the French Riviera. This is where I studied abroad and realized my passion for travel, so it’s definitely a destination that will inspire you! The many cities – from Cannes to Eze to San Tropez – are so diverse and perfect for any traveler looking for an authentic French getaway!

For the best pasta, gelato, and tiramisu you will ever eat in your life, look no further than Italy. Foodie and history lovers will be enthralled in each and every city. I’ve visited all over, from Rome to Venice, the Amalfi Coast to the Italian Riviera, and i can say that no city in Italy will leave you disappointed.

Island hopping in Greece seems to be on everyone’s bucket list – with picturesque destinations like Santorini, featured in these photos, it’s no wonder why the charm and authenticity of Greece is so alluring!

Need a break from all of these warm weather destinations? Vail is hands-down one of my favorite places to visit, even in the midst of 11 degree weather! It’s beautiful when blanketed in snow and just as breathtaking during their mild summers. Great for families, nature and adventure enthusiasts, honeymooners, and everyone in between!
