Turtle Inn: Belize Honeymoon Testimonial

As I’m sure I’ve mentioned over and over, one of my favorite parts of working with clients is being able to match them to the perfect destination – even better is when they had never considered that destination to begin with! When Jake and April came to me to plan their honeymoon, I was able to do just that. I’m always grateful to clients for trusting me with my suggestions – I love it when a plan comes together!

When the couple described their perfect destination as a place where they could enjoy local culture in a boutique property reflective of the natural surroundings, I couldn’t think of a better place than Turtle Inn. I grew even closer to the couple when their travel plans were disrupted with a missed flight. These are the cases where we as travel agents can step up and show our value by comforting and assisting our clients to make sure the rest of their trip is seamless. I’ll let these two take over the story from here in their client testimonial:

Don’t Stop Belizing – Our Honeymoon in Placencia, Belize

Prior to our honeymoon, I had never really traveled outside the states. As such, I had a lot of questions and needed a good amount of guidance.  I contacted Lindsey with a vague notion of wanting a honeymoon combining a Caribbean locale with ample opportunities to enjoy some culture. I was hoping to capture some local flair and flavor on our trip and wanted to avoid an all-inclusive vacation at a mega resort.

I had just one conversation with Lindsey to explain what we were looking for.  She immediately recommended Turtle Inn, located near Placencia, a small fishing village in Belize.  Honestly, she could not have recommended a better place.  Turtle Inn and Placencia turned out to be more than I had dreamed. The resort was first class and the staff saw to our every whim.

Honestly, it was sometimes a bit much for a South Georgia boy – but, that’s part of Lindsey’s brilliance.  When we felt the need to “rough it” Placencia was a ten minute bike ride away.  The village offered a whole new experience and the opportunity for us to dive into the local customs and truly get a feel for the place.

Lindsey led us to the perfect destination as Placencia and Turtle Inn were the exact combination we were dreaming of.  She was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout our planning, booking, and even the trip itself.  We missed our flight out of Atlanta and were forced to wait an entire day to catch the next flight to Belize.  I called Lindsey from the airport and she immediately contacted Turtle Inn and was able to push our entire reservation and package back one full day at no additional cost. It was a lot easier to spend a day in Atlanta knowing we wouldn’t be shorted anytime in Belize.

I can’t recommend Lindsey, or Turtle Inn enough.  She will certainly be my first call when we plan our next trip.

Big thanks to Jake & April for sharing their story with me and trusting me to suggest the perfect honeymoon spot! Cheers to you two and your marriage – here’s to many more adventures in your future!
